03

Client Dissatisfied

If you are not satisfied with the quality of work delivered and we are unable to resolve it to your standard — we will issue a full refund, no conditions.

Our Promise to Every Client

Downtown Publishers operates on a results-first model. We do not collect fees and disappear. Every engagement comes with clear, written deliverables, agreed timelines, and our personal commitment to see the work through to completion.

If for any reason we fall short of that commitment — whether the work isn't delivered, deadlines are missed, or the quality doesn't meet your expectations — you will receive a full refund of all fees paid. This is not a conditional guarantee buried in small print. It is our standard.

1

When You Are Entitled to a Full Refund

A complete, 100% refund of all fees paid will be issued in any of the following circumstances:

  • Service Not Delivered
We failed to deliver the contracted editorial placements, press releases, media pitches, podcast bookings, or any other agreed service within the project scope.
  • Agreed Timelines Missed
We did not meet the project deadlines or milestones agreed during onboarding, and did not communicate delays in advance or obtain your approval for an extension.
  • Client Dissatisfied with Quality
The work delivered does not meet the standard of quality described during our engagement, and after raising the concern with our team, we were unable to revise or resolve it to your satisfaction.
  • Project Cancelled Before Work Begins
You cancel the project before any work has commenced or before our team has begun research, writing, or outreach — a full refund will be issued within 5 business days.
  • Guaranteed Placement Not Achieved
Where we have explicitly guaranteed a named media placement (e.g. Forbes, Bloomberg, Business Insider) and that placement is not achieved, you are entitled to either a full replacement placement or a complete refund.

Monthly Retainer Clients

Clients on monthly retainer agreements are covered by the same full refund guarantee. If a monthly deliverable is not met or the quality falls below the agreed standard, that month's fees will be refunded in full.

To cancel a retainer, provide written notice before the next billing cycle. Cancellations submitted before the billing date will not be charged for the following month. If you have already been charged for a cycle and wish to cancel, contact us within 48 hours and we will process a refund for that cycle.

5

Situations Not Covered

While our refund guarantee is broad, the following situations fall outside its scope:

  • The project was delivered in full and the client approved the work at the time of delivery
  • The client changed their goals, brand direction, or requirements after work commenced, making original deliverables no longer applicable
  • Third-party costs already disbursed on the client's behalf (e.g. wire distribution fees, external platform costs) — these are non-recoverable
  • Editorial placements that were published, live, and indexed on the agreed platform at the time of the dispute
  • Refund requests submitted more than 30 days after the final delivery date without prior escalation
